剛寫了一篇論文給小俠
好累~~~

1. What was the first television show you ever saw?
Taiwan was impoverished after WW II, the television appeared here in the beginning of 1960’s. The TV shows were very poor then, only few of News Report and Song Singing programs. I was born in 1967. The TV shows were getting better and more. I am not very sure which TV show was the first to me. But I still had some rough image in my mind when I was 3. It seemed the puppet show (黃俊雄布袋戲---雲州大儒俠 史豔文) that was the most popular TV show in Taiwan.
The first TV cartoon I had ever seen is The Pink Panther when I was 5. Actually there was a Japanese cartoon named Sun Wu Kong around then.
2. What was the first movie you saw?
I don’t remember the name of the first movie I saw when I was 3 or 4, it’s a thriller movie that described about the zombie. I didn’t like it at all, so I don’t nearly see the thriller movie till now.
3. Do you remember any animated films, shorts and features? If so, what were they?
Most of the animated images come from Disney’s. But they were rare in TV or movie in my poor childhood. Sometime in the book store I could see the Snow White, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, Mickey, and Donald. They were rich children’s things. I would say they are not really popular because most of the people in Taiwan then were poor.
Besides The Pink Panther I said, the Popeye (大力水手) and Super Mouse (太空飛鼠) were also shown in TV. However, they could not really satisfy the audiences in Taiwan. They spoke English.
When I was in elementary school, a lot of Japanese cartoons started coming into Taiwan’s TV. Due to Japanese culture is close to Taiwan, and the TV companys changed the original speaking to Mandarin. The Japanese cartoon shows became more and more popular.
The theme song of Adventuer of Hacchi (小蜜蜂) took place the Little Bee (嗡嗡嗡) in the school. The Master 手塚治虫’s (sorry I don’t know his English name) Princess Knight (寶馬王子) and Jungle Emperor Leo (台譯:小白獅王辛巴) performed at 6 pm in weekdays. The shows kept the children at home after class. Mazinger-Z (無敵鐵金鋼) and Gachaman (科學小飛俠) were the hero for little boys, the Candy Candy (小甜甜) was the idol to every girls. The other Mater Miyazaki Shun’s (宮崎駿) Perrine En Famille(小英的故事) broke everyone’s heart. There were many impressive animated shows in Taiwan of 1970’s. I do miss the era that so clean, lovely, touching and simple; but straight and strong.
At that same time, there still were some US cartoons coming ex. Batman, Tom & Jerry. But they couldn’t catch the main audiences.
In 1980’s, more Robot’s cartoon were born. Japanese was more popular than USA’s because the Japanese style was more detail and pretty.
In 1990’s, Disney and Dream Works published a lot of 3D animated movie worldwide. They subverted the traditional cartoon not only the producing but storyline. The TV cartoons were also affected. Taiwan audiences became more flexible and diversified. The manufacturers were encouraged to do more different trying. It’s great that we could see more different style cartoons.
4. Do you remember your first theater experience? What was it different from now?
My first time to the theater is in my 3 or 4-year-old. It’s quite difficult to remember the whole things. But seemed dirty floor fulfilled by peanut shell, dark and smelly (smoking allowed then), uncomfortable seat from today. I love to watch a movie; I’ve been seeing the improving year to year. It’s always better and better, but could be better all the time.
5. Do you remember old radio programs? What kind of program did they broadcast?
When I was 5, we couldn’t remain the TV because my dad met a finance problem. My mom turned the radio on all day long to free her from the boring housework. I was awake by the radio noise every morning. The first program in the morning of every weekday was named 江平美雯俱樂部 and taken charge by a couple. They answered listeners’ letter for some strange problems, songs request. The most impress was that they sell some strange goods in their show. God bless them, I didn’t hear from them for more than 30 years.
6. What newspapers and magazines did you read as a child and a teenager?
My mom was forced to order the Science Boy Magazine when I was 10. There were some interesting and easy science testing and fiction to kill my free time. I also could read the Mandarin daily (國語日報) sometimes. There were a few news and some articles written by other children. But I love to read.
In my teenage, I was in charge to keep the key and list of the reading room. I read most of the books, magazines, and the papers. I had to scissor the key news or articles in the paper and to post on a notebook. The hobby make me be always interested at several kind of acknowledge so far.
I also need a biography of yours...
Age, occupation, where you currently live, where you grew up, and any special experience you wish to share (I'm pretty sure you have a couple since you've traveled all over the world!)
I am 42 years old, am married with 1 14-year-old boy. Now is the vice president of a respiratory device manufacturer. I spend almost of my life in my current location: Taichung, central of Taiwan. Because of my business, I have been traveling around 60 countries in the world during the pass 20 years. I like to watch and imagine something interesting or special.
